Helen proves that being a doyenne in the entertainment industry and a mom, doesn’t slow her down, and she does it all with the biggest smile on her face. She is an actress, singer, dancer, voice artist, recording artist and radio presenter with experience in all mentioned fields. What does Fitness mean to you?
Fitness to me is all about having the energy and drive to get things done on a daily basis. An active life is a life well lived.

What are your top two fitness tips?
1. The jury is out on fasting workouts but my number one rule is to never gym hungry.
2. Change things up regularly and try new exercises. Instagram has loads of workout videos and there are loads of apps too.
How did your fitness journey start?
I have been fit for most of my life as my career on stage and TV kind of demands me to be in shape. I ramped things up in the past few years after stopping smoking and picking up some weight. I find I have more energy during the day if I have worked out and really need that to keep going from the early hours into the night sometimes.
What is your advice to someone wanting to start their fitness journey?
Everyone is different and it is important to make it work for you and do things that you enjoy. Also, try and schedule your workout sessions like important meetings that you won’t cancel for just anything.
